Andropause

As men approach 50 years of age, their bodies begin to enter a phase of significant hormonal decline specifically testosterone. This phase is called andropause and is lasting permanently for the rest of a man's life. Changes in a man's body in the andropause phase can be quite uncomfortable, in severe cases can debilitate his ability to function in daily life.

Keep in mind that many aspects of a man's body go through drastic changes during andropause. For example, certain organs decline significantly in their functions notably the spleen, kidneys, and liver. Hormone production plummets. Energy system becomes deficient. The yin and yang aspects of the body go into significant decline. Energy and blood circulations become sluggish and stagnant. All these changes produce many imbalances in a man's body including the following symptoms.

  • Hot flashes and night sweat
  • Prostate enlargement
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Lack of libido
  • dizziness
  • Thinning of hair
  • Increased anxiety, irritability
  • Depression, socially withdrawn
  • Weight gain
  • Abnormal hair growth
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Heart palpitations
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Blood sugar imbalance
  • Phobias
  • Poor memory and concentration
  • Headaches
  • Sleep disorders

For thousands of years, acupuncture and Chinese medicine have been used for treating the whole spectrum of men's health naturally and effectively. This system of medicine is gentle, safe, and noninvasive and can support men's overall health in andropause and throughout their lives.

When the health decline due to aging sets in, it is a permanent process that is on-going for the rest of a man's life. We cannot stop the aging process but we can help to slow it down and to minimize the damage as much as possible. This time in life requires men to be proactive in caring for their health by taking Chinese medicine treatment, exercise more consistently, eat well and make healthy changes to the diet, get regular support therapies such as chiropractic, massages, energy healing, get pampered more, connect with positive, motivational people and activities to expand and lift one's spirit.
